In these classes, we emphasize creative problem-solving and experimentation and instruction in drawing, painting, sculpting, and mixed media art. Lessons connect children to world history and art history, such as African Art, Middle Eastern Art, Greek Art, Egyptian Art, Japanese Woodblocks, American Primitive Scene, Indian Art, Totem Poles, Chinese Dragons, Op Art, and contemporary European art movements. Students study and learn the styles of the world art masters like Matisse, Modigliani, Monet, Miro, Picasso, and then create original artworks in their styles.
